No matter who you are we all have this problem when traveling; bugs, dirt, grime, tar and even sand sticking to the front of your vehicle. This can cause extensive and expensive damage to your paint job. Whether driving back and forth from work all week or off on holiday the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is sit with a bucket and sponge wiping of this muck.

And now, with Road Wrap, you don't have to!

This Mini Road Wrap roll is perfect for smaller areas such as rockers, quarter panels and side mirrors. Designed for those who just wish to protect the front edge of their hood or the major part of the bumper.

This is not your regular supermarket cling wrap, a 2.5mm UV protective polyethylene transparent film combined with a water based adhesive backing create this handy time saving material.

It protects your vehicle against bug acid, road grime and rock chips while driving.

To apply simply cover the desired area and cut to shape! It can be cut to fit any vehicle from cars, trucks and motorbikes to
boats and caravans.

Each application can be left on your vehicle for up to 7 days and is then easily removed without harming your paint.

This roll contains 100ft (30m) of 6" (15cm) Road Wrap.

Is Road Wrap the same thing as Cling Wrap?

Absolutely not. Road Wrap is a 2.5 mil polyethylene film with a water based acrylic adhesive that has UV protection. No one should ever use Cling Wrap on their vehicle in extreme driving elements with different weather conditions.

 
Why can't I leave Road Wrap on for longer than 7 days?

During research and development we have left it on for longer periods of time with no problems. For best results we only recommend 7 days. If you do a lot of traveling in extreme conditions, you are going to want to make sure the product is working at its best. Besides after a week of bugs and grime you're going to want to remove it and reapply a new piece if needed.
 

What happens if I leave Road Wrap on too long?

You probably will not have a problem. However, if for some reason you leave Road Wrap on for an extended period of time and any adhesive is left on your paint finish, simply use a rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner with a soft cloth to remove any residue.
 
How easy is it to install?

The six inch roll of Road Wrap can be applied easily with one person. However if you're using the 18 inch roll, a second person helping along with a squeegee is recommended for a much smoother finish. Always apply it according to the instructions for best results.
 

Can I cut Road Wrap?

Yes, by using a saw Road Wrap can be cut cleanly to any desired width for special applications such as motorcycles, jet skis or anything else that needs protection.
 

Can I drive in the rain with Road Wrap on my vehicle?

Road Wrap was designed for everyday traveling as long as you apply it according to the instructions. No matter if you're in a rainstorm or 97 degree heat, it will continue to protect from one road extreme to the next.


How do you insure Road Wrap stays on during all driving conditions?

To ensure the best results, make sure that the vehicle is clean and dry before application. Apply product with a soft cloth on the edge of the slitter or a squeegee applicator that we offer. Install as smooth and wrinkle free as possible while making sure at least a four inch edge of the product is securely fastened to vehicle. This will eliminate separation or flapping while traveling. You want the best possible lay down if you're driving in extreme conditions.
 

What are the storage requirements for the rolls?

Ideal storage conditions are 72°F at 50% relative humidity.
 

Can you go through a car wash with the Road Wrap installed?

You can go through a car wash or a rain storm with Road Wrap. If there are creases or gaps in the film application and water can get under the film, there is a higher chance of the film coming off.
 

Are there any marine applications for the film?

It can be used on boats for transporting. The products have not been tested the product on any watercraft for freshwater or saltwater marine transportation.
 

How does the film handle filled paint chips and can you apply the film to these areas?

The adhesive is pretty aggressive to survive high winds and rain. OEM finishes will not be a problem. We haven't tested filled chip areas, however as long as the area was prepped properly you should have good results.

 
Does the film stick to plastic? What does it not adhere to or hold up as designed?

It sticks to most automotive smooth plastics. It will stick less aggressively to textured plastics. It will not stick to Armor All or any other shine enhanced coated plastics.
 

Can Road wrap be waxed?

Absolutely not. This is for temporary protection only. Wax should only be applied to the painted vehicle.
