The Bushpower 12V/50A Smart charger has been designed and tested in Australia for Australian applications and to suit our harsh conditions.

Installation Guide
Instructions for Use:
- When Charging have the battery in a well ventilated area.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargable batteries.
- The charger must only be plugged into an earthed socket-outlet (for portable class 1 battery chargers).
- Do not use if the supply cord is damaged, return it to the manufacturer for replacement.
- The 12V/50A smart charger is designed to charge 12V DC sealed lead-acid and standard lead-acid batteries.
- Combinations up up to 320AH can be charged simultaneously (eg. 3x 100AH batteries or 4x 80AH batteries etc.).
- Before connecting the charger to a new battery or battery bank, power up unit to 240V AC supply. Make sure both voltmeter and ammeter read "00" and green standby LED is on.
- Connect the DC output to battery. If you accidently reverse polarity the charger will emit and audible alarm, then proceed to connect the battery correctly.
- The charger will determine the size and charge state of the battery automatically.
- The ammeter will display the current in amps being delivered and the voltmeter will show the terminal voltage of the battery whilst connected.
- The red LED is displayed is on whilst charging in "hight charge" mode (20-50A).
- The yellow LED is displayed when charging in "low charge" mode (1-20A).
- When the battery is fully charged the green LED will be displayed. This is the standby or float state and the voltmeter will indicate the terminal voltage and the ammeter will read "00". No more charge will be delivered to the battery till the terminal voltage drops below 12.3V DC.
- As long as the charger remains connected to the 240V AC supply the unit is in standby and continue to top up the battery as required.
- If the 240V supply is turned off the ammeter will not show a reading but the voltmeter will continue to indicate the terminal voltage of the battery connected to the charger.
