The panel has the ability to harness up to a massive 80A per day! This is easily enough to run a 110L fridge-freezer, laptop and lights continuously. This smart 150W panel has a unique design consisting of 3x 50W solar panels linked together and will provide 8-9A per hour, perfect for those big fridges.

Featuring top of the line mono-crystalline low light solar cells operate as an excellent companion for your battery system, be it AGM, GEL, lead acid or calcium. They are able to begin producing electricity at as little as 5% maximum sunlight, which means you will always have power even in rainy, overcast conditions.

Anodized Aluminium is used for the frame which gives us the confidence to provide you with a massive 10 Year Structural Warranty!

Also the silicon used in the panels is guaranteed to still be performing to specifications for 25 Years!

The smart design allows all three 50W panels to neatly fold together, protecting each solar cell. Once folded up the panel slips easily into the bonus carry bag. The bag is made from Vinyl making it Waterproof and Dustproof, with heavy duty Velcro tab closure for a better close to protect your panel.
Rubber feet at the base of the unit prevents constant slipping on hard surfaces. Most importantly there are legs supporting every separate panel so they are firmly set on the ground, giving you the flexibility to angle them directly into the sun.

The entire unit is completely waterproof, including the inbuilt solar regulator, so when it rains all you'll have to worry about is getting your clothes off the line!

Every panel is diode protected which means they will not feed power back the other way at night time. This is done to ensure if one panel falls into shade it doesn't draw power from other panels which may be in the sun producing power.

A 5.5m long 6mm lead is included with your choice of connection, Anderson standard.

I can buy a panel on eBay for half the price, why buy this one?

It's true there are heaps of panels on eBay for next to nothing. Why? Because the panels are made to be cheap and there is a market for this because everybody likes to save a dollar.

To sell something cheap you have to make it cheap, low quality silicon panels that have low power outputs will not work in overcast conditions. Cheap and nasty cables and regulators that offer low performance and at the same time not being water resistant so you can't leave then outside if you get a little rain. The carry bags are generally cheap nylon that will leave you spending ten minutes wrestling the panel into the bag then eventually busting the zip. I could rant forever but i think you get the idea.

All of the above plus the simple fact that the Chinese manufacturers do not understand the end user so all the little trimmings that should make their panel a pleasure to use are not included either to cut down costs or simply because it had not been thought about.

In summary the reason to buy a quality panel over a cheapie is because of the lifespan, a good panel will last around 25 years. You are making a long term investment that will keep you out of pokey caravan parks and give you the freedom that saves you and your family money for a long time.  By camping without paying for power it will also let you camp in spots where hopefully you get some peace and quiet while running your fridge full time and having all the lights, laptops etc. you need running constantly.

What is all this Monocrystalline stuff?

Monocrystalline solar modules are the most expensive and there is a reason for this. These modules are made from a single large silicon crystal. Typically, a monocrystalline module will begin producing electricity at about 5% of maximum sun energy while a polycrystalline module will start producing power at about 10% maximum sun energy. This means that the monocrystalline module will produce energy for more time per day and in lower light conditions. Additionally, the monocrystalline module will perform better and produce more energy in hot conditions.

What about Tempered Glass?

Tempered glass is one of two kinds of safety glass regularly used in applications in which standard glass could pose a potential danger. It is four to five times stronger than standard glass and does not break into sharp shards when it fails. Manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling, makes it harder than normal glass.

The brittle nature of tempered glass causes it to shatter into small oval-shaped pebbles when broken. This eliminates the danger of sharp edge. Due to this property, along with it's strength, tempered glass is often referred to as safety glass.

The thermal process that cures tempered glass also makes it heat resistant. Tempered glass is used to make the carafes in automatic coffee makers and the windows in ovens. Computer screens, skylights, door windows, tub enclosures and shower doors are more examples of where you'd find tempered glass. Building codes also require the windows of many public structures to be made of tempered glass.

What is so special about an Anodized Frame?

Metals can actually be made stronger and more durable through a process called anodizing. Anodizing involves placing a sheet of aluminium into a chemical acid bath, quite often acetone in laboratory experiments. The sheet of aluminium becomes the positive anode of a chemical battery and the acid bath becomes the negative. An electric current passes through the acid, causing the surface of the aluminium to oxidise. Once oxidised this forms a strong coating as it replaces the old aluminium on the surface. The end result is an extremely strong material which makes a super tough frame.
